Laheq Island: Integrating Hospitality, Living, and Landscape

Laheq Island is a pioneering luxury resort and residential development within The Red Sea destination, envisioned by Red Sea Global. Spanning 400 hectares, it is the first island in the region to combine resort-style living with private property ownership. At the heart of the island is The Ring—an iconic 800-metre-wide structure that encircles a white sand lagoon, featuring luxury apartments, hotels, and retail spaces. Designed with a focus on regeneration and wellbeing, Laheq offers an immersive island lifestyle that fosters community and connection. Set to open in 2028, Laheq also marks the first development beyond Phase One of The Red Sea to be publicly revealed.

Dewan Architects + Engineers’ appointment spans multiple programmes and typologies. As Executive Architect, Dewan was entrusted with delivering the architectural design from the end of concept design through to the Issue for Construction stage, covering the largest and most diverse components of Laheq Island.
